Functieomschrijving

Samen met een bestaand team zet je je in tegen de ongerechtigheid in de levens van kwetsbare tienermeisjes in Senegal. Je werkt samen met een christelijke school die beroepsonderwijs biedt aan ongeschoolde

meisjes uit gezinnen met een laag inkomen. Daarmee speel je een belangrijke rol in het uitdragen van Jezus’ liefde.

• Je maakt Jezus zichtbaar in de relaties die je legt met de leerlingen en draagt het evangelie uit in woord en daad;
• Je ondersteunt leerlingen in hun persoonlijke ontwikkeling;
• Samen met de oprichter werk je aan een duurzaam ontwikkelingsplan voor de school;
• Je geeft les en helpt bij administratieve taken.

Profielomschrijving

• Je hebt relevante ervaring met jeugdwerk, onderwijs en discipelschap voor vrouwen;
• Je bent compassievol en hebt een hart voor kansarme en kwetsbare groepen;
• Je bent vaardig in koken en naaien;
• Je beheerst de Franse taal of bent bereid deze te leren.

Niveau christendom

Minder dan 5% van de bevolking is christen.

Leefomstandigheden

Thies is de op één na grootste stad van Senegal maar voelt aan als een kleine plaats met een rustig leeftempo. De stad beschikt over grote supermarkten, restaurants en comfortabele woningen. Gezondheidszorg is aanwezig, maar het aanbod is beperkt en van lage kwaliteit. Het bestaande team helpt je te wennen aan de cultuur en ondersteunt je bij het leggen van relaties.

Over CAMA Zending
CAMA Zending zendt zowel gemeentewerkers als beroepskrachten uit en ondersteunt lokale gemeentestichters onder onbereikte volken. Zo maken we samen Jezus zichtbaar waar Hij het minst gezien wordt! Doe jij mee?
