Key responsibilities
  • Content development: oversite and editing of brochures, investment stories, community and government presentations, and construction updates; ghost writing for senior leaders; managing editorial calendars.
  • Collaboration: this role will collaborate with the Europe-Middle East-Africa region to align content priorities. It will maintain a calendar of deliverables to support the region and deliver on priorities.
  • Alignment: this role will work with partner organizations to align with Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
  • Research: interpreting research data to help inform programs, investments, and strategies.
  • The content manager will have a balance of writing, editing, communication and project management skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications or related field AND 4+ years’ work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
o OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+years’ experience working in a public relations or marketing communications role.
  • Experience in reporting and analytics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of datacenter industry is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of a European language is a plus.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to edit copy.
  • Experience managing agencies and creative talent.
  • Understanding of research principles and tactics along with modern communication strategies.
  • Team orientation: build and nurture partnerships, collaborate and influence across multiple stakeholders in- and outside of Microsoft.
  • Skilled at prioritization, creating order and marshalling resources towards achieving a common goal and a drive for results with energy and positive attitude.
  • Executive presence and ability to provide strategic and tactical guidance to leaders across the organization.
  • Able to provide clarity in complex situations, especially when facing tight timelines.
  • Undaunted in the face of constant ambiguity with ability to “see through the noise” and create clarity for key industry team stakeholders as it relates to communications and storytelling.
  • Advanced usage ability of Microsoft Office product suite including, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
