Magna Tyres supplies special tyres for vehicles used in mining and ports, among others. As a Controller, you have an active role in the monthly process regarding the financial figures for the entire Magna Tyres Group. You deal with various reports such as gross margin reporting, cost reports and you translate the information needs of Magna Tyres into broad-based financial reports. You also prepare balance sheet files and ensure correct implementation of the financial processes. As an organisation we strive for continuous improvement, so your initiative to help the organisation further by using financial data is highly appreciated. The international character of Magna Tyres also characterises your position: international colleagues know where to find you for your help and support.The team you will become part of currently consists of six colleagues working in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, and various international colleagues spread all over the world. For a successful collaboration, a good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing, is a must.
Your daily tasks:
- Analysing monthly figures and taking action (solicited and unsolicited) where necessary;
- Be involved in our reporting processes such as monthly closing, quarterly closing, year-end closing, consolidations and setting up administrations in case of acquisitions and expansions;
- Building a professional relationship with our foreign colleagues and helping them with any queries;
- Co-manage the audits and act as contact person for the auditor;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of financial insight. This includes simplifying and automating financial reporting.
Your profile:
- You have an HBO degree in finance and preferably several years of experience in a similar position;
- You have experience with various programmes such as MS Office and automated systems such as SAP and PowerBI;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of the German language is a plus;
- You show initiative and ask critical questions;
- You are analytical, accurate, flexible and a team player.
