Exciting Opportunity for a Design Engineer in Offshore Operations Support!
Our client, a distinguished leader in asset ownership and superior engineering support for offshore operations, is actively seeking a talented professional to contribute to their dynamic team. With a steadfast commitment to safety and efficiency, this role offers the chance to engage in cutting-edge projects within a challenging yet rewarding environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute significantly to the engineering of offshore projects, actively engaged from conceptualization to detailed design within the collaborative engineering team
- Execute basic and detailed structural design for offshore structures and/or equipment
- Utilize 2D and 3D modeling and drafting skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Cadmatic
- Prepare detailed design calculation reports ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Define scopes of work, design specifications for subcontractors, and diligently review their drawings
- Offer crucial support to the Operations, Projects, and Wells and P&A team, ensuring seamless collaboration and project success
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in finite element method analysis, focusing particularly on local structural analysis
- Expertise in local structural analysis, including familiarity with standard lift points and bolted connections
- General understanding of the offshore/maritime industry, with a foundational knowledge of heavy lift operations, engineering, and marine operations
- Competent use of 2D and 3D drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Cadmatic
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent command of English, both verbally and in written communication
- Proven ability to independently execute tasks within a collaborative team environment
