The role
The position of controller, especially as part of the Management Team, is of great importance as you will be the financial conscience and sparring partner of the CEO. In this independent role, it is your responsibility to manage PUM’s budgets and ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively to support programs and projects. Are you a controller who is interested in non for profit and enabling the realisation of impactful projects worldwide and experienced in managing a small team? The following tasks will fall under your responsibility: 

 
Managing the Financial Administration department (2 people).
 
Advice and support to the Management Team and financial conscience of CEO. 
 
Compliance and Governance (independent role towards Supervisory Board). 
 
Risk management. 
 
Financial reporting and transparency (quarterly). 
 
Contract management and procurement. 
 
Strategic financial planning.
 
Manager Planning and control cycles.
 
Point of contact for external auditor, banks, insurance and pension.
 
 
What do you bring?
 
 
Bachelor working and thinking level. 
 
Five years of work experience in Finance and experience in a nonprofit environment as a controller. 
 
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages both verbally and in writing. 
 
Based in the Netherlands. 
 
Availability of at least 32 hours per week. 
 
Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and Exact Globe.
 
Motivation, inspired by the vision and mission of PUM.

What do we offer you?
 
PUM’s full-time workweek is 37,5 hours. 
 
The salary is max. €5.270,- gross per month, based on full-time. 
 
Start date before June 1
st
, preferably as soon as possible.
 
The Certificate of Good Conduct is part of the application process. 
 
Holiday allowance of 8% and a 13th month. 
 
Holiday quota of 28 days per year, based on full-time. 
 
Hybrid work model. 
 
‘Working-from-home’- and commuting allowance. 
 
A fixed term contract of 1 year, with the intention to extend.
