As the IT Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics at Corbion, you are responsible for leading the development and execution of Corbion's business intelligence and analytics strategy and for external reporting solutions. The position will oversee a team of analysts and data professionals, driving the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across Corbion.
You manage a team of 5-10 FTE and report to the Senior Vice President IT. You are based out of our Corporate HQ in Amsterdam or our Global Business, Operations and Innovation Hub in Gorinchem.
Dimensions
Global setting – all Corbion sites and legal entities – providing cross functional support for all business units / areas
Impact: Key responsible for ensuring reliable, accurate and complete IT solutions for BI and analytical data. Ensure authorized access to data according Corbion’s managerial reporting.
Decision-making: Empowered to take independent decisions, often under time pressure especially if business continuity is at stake.
Responsibility: Manage a budget of up to € 5.0 Mn. Member of the Global IT Leadership Team.
Result areas
Strategy and Leadership:
Develop and execute Corbion's business intelligence and analytics strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives including process analytics / process mining and external reporting
Lead a team of analysts and data professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key performance metrics, establish benchmarks, and set goals for business intelligence initiatives.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources to generate insights and recommendations for improving business performance.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to support strategic decision-making.
Business Intelligence Tools and Technologies:
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and analytics tools and technologies,
Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and solutions that enhance data analysis capabilities and drive efficiency in reporting processes.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of business intelligence systems and infrastructure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with stakeholders across Corbion, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to understand their data and reporting needs.
Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for using data and analytics to drive operational efficiencies, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
Provide guidance and support in implementing data-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
About you
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Proven experience (8+ years) in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with a focus on managing complex analytics projects and teams.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving business objectives.
Expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and statistical techniques, with good insight in capabilities of tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience in developing and executing business intelligence strategies, including the design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes.
