What are the possibilities? During your time at Kaak, you can choose from the following assignments or projects:

• Be part of a team that focuses on collecting, analyzing, and displaying (machine) data at customers using an in-house developed Cloud platform. Learn to work systematically using the Scrum planning method. Contribute to designing a microservice and implementing it for a specific functionality.
• Develop a mobile/stand-alone application for a current industrial IoT platform that can be deployed on stand-alone machine or ad-hoc at customers to be ‘connected’ with their machine on-site.
• Development of a microservice for a specific purpose. These microservices could apply for different fields of use being:
• Process control
• Predictive / preventive maintenance
• Management tools
• Energy monitoring
• Development of a stand-alone application which can be applied for stand-alone machinery or flexible use a ‘mobile’ edge solution for temporary use during consultancy projects. These project could consist of:
• Energy consultancy
• Process optimization
• Root cause analysis
• Development of an Edge Cloud Computing application.

For future services, edge computing applications will be necessary to provide lean and resilient processing of data. Training and running of AI models would be one of the common factors in future applications. Applications which need edge cloud computing will be:

• Anomaly detection
• Video monitoring, processing filtering and cloud storage
• Local aggregation of data and storing of aggregated data in cloud storage

What do we expect from you?

• You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in ICT or a similar field.
• You are able to work independently and take initiative.
• You want to apply the knowledge you have gained in a challenging assignment and contribute to the organization’s development.
• You are eager to learn about microservices and applying data in the Cloud in industrial environments.

Kaak FPS designs and manufactures complete production lines as well as standalone machines and has years of experience and specialized knowledge in this field. Kaak is implementing a data-driven solution to enhance service delivery and deepen the understanding of the products. Royal Kaak is consistently evolving and expanding its data platform.

Approximately 800 people work for the Kaak Group, with 450 in Terborg working for Kaak Food Processing. In Terborg, the company is divided into various business units focusing on their own product groups. These teams comprise various functions.
