Software Engineer

Besides designing, writing, programming and testing (complex) PLC software, as a Software Engineer you are also responsible for solving malfunctions at our customers’ installations. In short: you are our expert in the field of software and make our customers happy and satisfied!

Your duties include:

• The independent design, writing, programming and testing of (complex) Siemens S7 PLC software;
• You will prepare required (project) documentation so that both client and Kaak Silos & Dosing are aware of the work performed;
• Analyzing customer and/or product specifications and recording feasibility in a functional design;
• On site at the customer and remote commissioning of the machine line;
• Locating and solving software (complex) malfunctions. This can take place both remotely (remote, via live connection) and at the customer’s location;
• You are willing to participate in the breakdown service.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed college education (direction control technology);
• You have experience with PLC programming of Siemens S7 projects;
• You have experience with P&ID and process diagrams and Tag tricks.
• You have experience with Eplan;
• You have experience with Siemens TIA portal software programming;
• You have experience with setting up Scada systems/visualization (e.g. SmartBakery Next);
• You have experience with setting up communication protocols (e.g., kneader control and ERP control);
• You have experience with ERP systems (we work with Afas);
• You can work well with Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.;
• You have good communication skills;
• You write and speak good Dutch and English;
• You are in possession of VCA or willing to obtain one.
