The Dylan Amsterdam is seeking a dynamic and motivated Duty and Guest Relations Manager Intern to join our team. During your internship you will work closely with our Front Office Department to ensure smooth operation of the hotel’s daily activities and maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction.

In addition to learning Duty Manager tasks, you will also support the department in Guest Relations and work as a Guest Service Assistant. This internship will offer you a hands-on opportunity to gain all around experiences in the daily tasks of the Front Office Department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests upon arrival and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently
  • Collaborate with the front desk team to check guests in and out efficiently, and address any issues that may arise during their stay.
  • Assist the Duty Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and striving to resolve issues to the guests satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless communications and collaborations.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety and security of all hotel areas.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Act as a liaison between guests and various hotel departments to resolve issues or special requests effectively.
  • Helping to create personalized experiences for our guests
  • Collect feedback from guests regarding their stay and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in organizing and executing special initiatives and creative projects to enhance guest satisfaction

Who are you?

  • Currently enrolled in a hospitality management program or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with a passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • You can work independently as well as in a team
  • You are proficient in both Dutch and English both written and spoken
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast passed environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization and problem solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work in varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
