CINOP, a renowned organization at the forefront of education and employment development, is seeking a senior consultant to join our dynamic team. You will be engaged in acquiring new assignments and implementing complex education and labour market projects in developing and transitioning countries across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. You have demonstrable international expertise in capacity strengthening in

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
and Higher Education and you’re able to take the lead in acquisition of donor-funded and philanthropy-funded projects. In addition, you add valuable expertise to our team within the TVET domain in e.g. curriculum development, teacher professionalisation, digitisation, or green skills.

In cooperation with a variety of national, international and local partners, CINOP contributes to building better education and employment opportunities for everyone. Our international projects focus on setting up and developing vocational and higher education and improving the connection between education and the labour market. We do this in countries across Europe, Africa, South America, the Middle East and Asia.

What will your role(s) be?

  • Taking up the key expert role in implementation of TVET projects.
  • Knowledge building of the team in the field of international TVET.
  • Acquiring new projects in your (sub)fields of expertise, independently and with team members.
  • Contribute to a rich portfolio of international CINOP projects.

Tasks include:

  • Fulfilling a key expert role in the implementation of international TVET projects through consulting, advice, training, and workshop facilitation.
  • Developing new concepts and strategies for vocational education and training in countries in transition and/or developing countries.
  • Building and expanding (inter)national networks within TVET and higher education, as well as the business community while working closely with local consultants.
  • Taking up team leader or project management roles in projects.
  • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities to bring in projects and assignments.
  • Successfully responding to calls for tenders aimed at capacity building in tertiary education in our focus regions. You will target both multilateral donors and Dutch/other bilateral donors.

What you bring to the table:

  • At least 10 – 15 years of international work experience in an expert role within TVET or higher education. You have significant knowledge and experience related to TVET in one or more of the following fields: international qualification frameworks, curriculum development, inclusive education, lifelong learning, quality assurance in TVET, teacher training, governance in TVET, entrepreneurship. Please indicate your exact area of expertise within TVET/higher education when applying.
  • Practical working experience in the TVET sector is a plus, for example in a school, ministry or sector skills council. You preferably have working experience on system level.
  • Excellent command of English (C1/C2 level); proficiency in additional languages such as French, Arabic, Amharic, or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively in diverse cultural contexts.
  • Flexibility for regular international travel, with a minimum of 65 travel days or more per year depending on projects.
  • Highly independent with a problem-solving attitude.
  • The ability to stay focused in hectic situations, effectively managing competing priorities and setting the right tasks and deadlines.
  • Preferably full-time availability (with a minimum of 30 hours per week).
  • Experience in working with different donors is a plus.
  • Based in the Netherlands or able to be in the Netherlands on a regular basis. We do not offer relocation packages.

What do we offer?

  • A fixed-term contract followed by a permanent contract in case of good performance.
  • Salary between € 4.000,- and € 6.000,- based on your experience.

Ide werkt als consultant op het gebied van ondernemerschap, ontwikkeling van de particuliere sector, bedrijfsontwikkeling, starterscentra en curriculumontwikkeling.

Ide heeft een MSc-diploma in Micro-elektronica van de Technische Universiteit Delft. Hij richtte zijn eigen IT-bedrijf op voordat hij 18 werd. Na het behalen van zijn BSc-diploma was hij bestuurslid van de YES!Delft incubator, waar hij werkte aan het inspireren en helpen van studenten bij het opstarten van hun eigen bedrijf.

In 2014 nam hij deel aan het project International Research Projects Delft (IRPDelft), waar hij marktonderzoek deed in Guyana. In 2015 werkte hij aan het soft landing programma voor de NWU in Zuid-Afrika, waar hij als freelancer voor CINOP Nederlandse en Zuid-Afrikaanse KMO’s heeft aangesloten. In 2016 was hij mede-oprichter van het bedrijf Momo Medical, dat een monitoringsapparaat op de markt brengt ter ondersteuning van verpleegkundigen in de dagelijkse zorg in ziekenhuizen en verpleeghuizen. Binnen Momo Medical was Ide verantwoordelijk voor de financiering, klinische studies, bedrijfsontwikkeling, certificering en financiering.
