About

Sustainable Industries Team
Air and gas leaks, High Voltage Partial Discharge detection and inspection & monitoring of crucial assets e.g. rotating and other mechanical equipment in industrial (hazardous) environments. These challenging environments is where the solutions of the Sustainable industries team thrive and ensure reduction of costs (downtime and loss of energy or gas), reduce emissions of CO2 and other GHG and perhaps most importantly increase the safety within industrial (hazardous) environments. 

 
Whether it is 24/7 critical asset health monitoring, or scanning and inspecting for leaks or other anomalies in ATEX zones, by hand or mounted on a Robot (e.g. Boston Dynamics Spot) or Drone, all these technological capabilities are part of our portfolio and fill the needs of our global customers.

Sales & Business Developer

What will you do:

  • Identify and execute new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the Sorama business grow in focus area
Together with a, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and ambitious multi-disciplinary team of 80 persons (ranging from software developers, acoustic experts to product owners), your goal will be to represent Sorama towards the market in your focus region and turn our business into a commercial success. 

 
You will expand (y)our customer portfolio through proactive business development activities and be responsible for turnover, margin and growth of the Sustainable Products team.

 
By being close to the market and customer, you will provide market insights and new customer requirements to the development team to keep our solutions at the forefront of the industry.

 
Work closely with our marketing colleagues to develop sales & marketing assets to fill the sales funnel with high quality leads.
 

Responsibilities:

Outbound sales and business development
 
Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
 
Lead generation & qualification (Researching prospective accounts in target markets)
 
Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
 
Perform demo’s and attending conferences and industry events
 
Support and actively extend local Sorama reseller & integrator network
 
Monitor, evaluate and report trends & customer drivers
 
Identify, evaluate & report local competition
 
Execute marketing initiatives
 
Interact and align with local NBSOs / NLOTs / Consulates / Embassies

Profile:

Minimal 5 years of demonstrable success in a commercial / consultative / sales engineering related role.
 
Experience with solution / consultative selling and service based business models.
 
Driven, eager, enthusiastic, ambitious personality.
 
Affinity with technological products and solutions and working in a high-tech environment.
 
Ability to “open doors” and follow up on new business opportunities.
 
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and building networks.
 
Ability to motivate and influence.
 
Solid written and spoken English.
 
Willing to travel and ability to travel internationally.
 
Experience with ATEX products/applications and rules & regulation in process industries is a pre.
