Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) B.V. operates from the port of Den Helder (NL), with an offering of 20 modern platform-supply, subsea-support and walk-to-work vessels. The VOS B.V. Chartering team is based in Breda. VOS B.V. forms part of Vroon Group’s Offshore Services Division, with further offices in Aberdeen (UK), Genoa (IT) and Singapore. The Den-Helder-managed vessels operate mainly in the North Sea area, with the area of operation occasionally extending to include the Mediterranean or West Africa. Our most important objective is making our customers successful by providing safe and highly efficient shipping services and offshore-support solutions.
What will you do?
In this function, the Charterer is responsible for:- Chartering vessels to existing and new clients;
- Preparation of commercial tenders against strict deadlines;
- Liaising between external customers and internal stakeholders before, during and after the tender/fixture phase;
- Monitor market conditions and prepare regular reports/reviews;
- Marketing and chartering vessels to clients in the North Sea sport market;
- Maintaining close contacts with existing clients and the wider broker network;
- Establishing contacts and building relationships with new clients;
- Collecting and presenting data that support market mapping and client profiling;
- Engaging in pursuit planning to attract future business;
- Attending meetings, exhibitions and seminars to promote the VOS portfolio;
- Other duties as may be required by the business.

Our preferred candidate has/is:- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commercial or Business Economics or Business Administration (or similar);
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in Chartering/ Business Development within a maritime environment;
- Strong negotiator and ability to outperform market levels;
- Team player who has the discipline to work alone and meet pre-defined deadlines;
- Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve;
- Determination to grow within the business;
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with others in a fast-paced working environment;
- Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willing to learn.
