ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

 

DEPARTMENT

The Specialist Finance role is part of the finance department in the business Unit Corporate Manufacturing with production facilities in Bergen op Zoom and Genk. In this role, you report to the Site Controller in Bergen op Zoom.

 
The team consists of 2 employees and focuses on production and cost performance of the production facilities in Bergen op Zoom and Genk. You will work closely with the Maintenance & Turnaround controller.

 

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Within this role, you are in frequent contact with various internal stakeholders.
Financial sparring & business partner for manufacturing leaders, plant managers and their teams
Reporting, analyzing and explaining manufacturing fixed cash cost on a monthly basis.
Lead the annual budget cycle for manufacturing fixed cash costs
Part of the value-driver meetings to optimize manufacturing performance
Monitor trends/KPI’s and seek opportunities for improvements
Participate in benchmarking studies
 
 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Master or bachelor degree in business economics, finance, controlling or equivalent
Minimal 1-2 years of relevant experience in Controlling
Strong communication skills
Ability to build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Self-starter, results-oriented and able to work independently in a changing environment
Advanced MS Excel and Power BI user;
Knowledge of SAP and BI tools
Fluent in English (B1/B2) and Dutch (B1/B2) - both verbal and written
This position is located in Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands). We are looking for candidates living in this area where you are able to work on site. Remote working is possible in consultation (max 2 days a week for this fulltime position).
