Quality Engineer

In this role you support the product quality responsibility laid down within various departments. The Quality Engineer takes the position as the first point of contact with regards to the product quality.

In consultation with (the product quality) responsible department managers, the Quality Engineer makes quality problems visible at product level, provides solutions for this (both preventive and corrective) and implements them in consultation with the Quality Manager.

You daily tasks are:
Assist in the technical assessment of supplier complaints regarding product quality detected and registered by the product quality departments and providing technical support for product quality deviations

Handling supplier complaints based on unambiguous internal and external communication with all departments concerned and follow-up using a standardized 8D methodology.

Keeping track of KPIs related to supplier complaints for the purpose of monitoring the product quality of products supplied by suppliers.
Providing product quality support to the production floor by acting as a "link" between various disciplines including production, engineering, procurement and logistics.

The requested and unsolicited identification and reporting of improvement possibilities regarding product quality, resulting in the presentation, start-up, execution, supervision and follow-up of improvement actions, in consultation with product quality responsible colleagues.

Ensure the unambiguous and complete determination of product quality requirements for internal quality assurance.
Drawing up and improving the work and control instructions that form part of the documented QMS in close consultation with product quality responsible colleagues.

Determining product quality data deemed necessary and making this information available for analysis and evaluation purposes.
Analyzing, evaluating, discussing and archiving of control and test data.
Co-conducting operational product quality audits, both internally and at suppliers.

Job requirements:

MBO+ work and thinking level.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Fluently in Dutch and English.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP system, knowledge of Microsoft AX is a plus.
Competences: analytical, decisive, persuasive, team player, pro-active, pragmatic, tenacious, result-oriented, organized and structured.
