Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our team and assist with consultancy projects. As a Junior Data Scientist at Florence Innovations, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced founders and contribute to diverse client engagements across various industries. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data science consulting while being part of a collaborative and dynamic startup environment.Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior team members to understand client requirements and project objectives.
Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks to prepare datasets for analysis.
Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract insights and develop predictive models.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.
Work closely with clients to communicate findings, present results, and provide actionable recommendations.
Support the implementation and deployment of data-driven solutions, including model testing and validation.
Contribute to internal research and development initiatives to enhance our consulting offerings.
Requirements:
Preferably a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related field.
Strong foundation in data analysis, statistics, and machine learning concepts.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and modeling.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
