In this role you drive the S&OP engine. You primarily professionalize this process to an optimal balance of inventory, service and cost through a clear vision, hands on collaboration with colleagues across the business and clever use of data analytics and digital solutions. You coordinate the demand planning process, which results in a global demand plan for finished goods, and you facilitate the different steps in the S&OP process like demand reviews, supply review and consensus review with the executive leadership team.

You take a data-driven approach and cooperate effectively with various departments at all levels. It doesn’t stop with S you actively drive NPI and ensure critical range reviews and execution closely with your marketing colleagues.

You are part of the planning team and report directly to the Director Supply Chain Planning & Logistics. 

Tasks and responsibilities:

• You own and drive the demand planning process. You provide a statistical baseline forecast to regional demand planners, for them to enrich based on sales insights. You challenge these plans in regional demand review meetings and you consolidate the regional plans into a global unconstrained demand plan;
• Together with Supply Chain Planning, you create and adjust the final constrained demand plan and make sure that it is properly implemented, and all relevant departments are timely and properly informed;
• You facilitate the S&OP meetings and ensure that the S&OP plan is used as business driver. The S&OP plan reflects the status of business strategy plans and as such ensures the right product availability for growth. You ensure acceptance of the plan and gap-closing actions in the S&OP meeting with the Executive Leadership Team;
• You report on S&OP and demand planning KPI’s such as forecast accuracy and bias with the aim of continuously improving S&OP results like product availability and inventory;
• You oversee the process to create new SKU’s in all relevant systems and processes. In cooperation with Marketing you facilitate a constructive product range review process to identify improvements/rationalization in the product portfolio;
• You oversee that the tactical S&OP and NPD plans are operationalized and lead processes such as phase-out/phase-in or product allocation in case of availability issues;
• You guide the regional demand planners in an informal way, by supporting and coaching them. You stimulate a mindset of continuous improvement, where you challenge the status quo and look to adopt new and improved ways of working.

Function Requirements

• You have a Bachelor+ or Master’s degree, in the field of supply chain management, business analytics or data science;
• You have experience in a demand planning role, including use of ERP and Advanced Planning Systems. Ideally you have implemented an APS;
• You have experience in S&OP and facilitation of S&OP meetings across different regions and management levels;
• You are an expert in data analytics, based on tools like Excel and Power BI;
• You are confident in leading projects or playing a proactive role in project teams;
• You speak fluent English. Dutch is convenient;
• You have good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders at different levels;
• You have a positive critical attitude; a curious and enquiring mind and you are always looking for improvement and connection across disciplines.
