MediaMonks México is seeking a Senior Editor to join our films team and be the mentor and guardian within our editing monastery. This means you’ll partner with a world-class team of creatives and turn out some of the most creative video assets for the world’s biggest brands. Role & Responsibilities:

• You will be part of a core team including producers, creatives and strategists working on projects ranging from small one-offs to large-scale projects including pitches.
• There will be occasions where we need to expand the team rapidly to accommodate larger projects. You feel confident in your ability to help onboard and guide new freelance editors quickly.
• Crafting narratives including working with storyboarded projects
• Adapt masters to all kinds of platforms, lengths and languages, ensuring each and every ad is fit-for-format and looks pixel perfect. Adaptation is understood as: Perform adaptation to master videos, such replacing supers & end cards, sound mixing voice-over, adding subtitling`
• Make sure deadlines are met and flag the ones that aren’t feasible upfront

Requirements

• For this senior-level position, we are looking for a versatile editor with 5-10+ years of experience editing various sized projects as a freelancer or staff editor; ranging from :30 TVCs to longer-form digital branded content.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro as well as a working knowledge of After Effects, Resolve and Protools.
• Must have extensive experience with CGI workflows as well as round tripping through sound/color and delivering to various specs.
• Knowledge of Avid and Final Cut would be a plus in your creative toolkit.
• Setting creative and technical standards to determine the best tools and techniques to use is essential.
• Have impeccable interpersonal skills. This role will be meeting and presenting in front of our internal and external clients across the realms.
• Be a mentor to the team by having the highest skill quality out there and help them get to the same level or to surpass it!
• Taking matters into their own hands when needed, but always keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
