Junior Quality Engineer Nemo Healthcare

Aiming for safe births and healthy children, Nemo Healthcare wants to provide the best possible fetal
assessment for doctors and midwives, with the least burden for expecting moms. The company has developed
new and innovative medical devices for pregnancy monitoring, both in the hospital and at home. The products
are based on a unique technology platform that enables intuitive, wireless and non-invasive fetal and maternal
monitoring.
To further strengthen the growth of the company, Nemo Healthcare is looking for a proactive, analytical and
process oriented (Junior) Quality Engineer. You will closely collaborate with both the Product Development
team and the Quality Manager, creating a firm link between the two and integrating the quality assurance
throughout the complete development process. You will lead the development and maintenance of verification
protocols, manufacturing test plans, as well as test tool validation. Additionally, you will support the creation,
review and approval of the technical documentation. Next to that, you will participate in improving and
maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS), as well as assuring regulatory compliance and audit
preparation. There are several opportunities to grow and further expand the scope of responsibilities towards
quality, regulatory or technical product development, depending on your affinities and ambition.

As (Junior) Quality Engineer, you:
  • Support product improvement process, problem reports and complaint handling
  • Develop and maintain test plans to ensure quality throughout the development and manufacturing
  • Lead software and hardware tool validation
  • Support creation, review and approval of technical documentation
  • Support labeling creation and translations
  • Participate in design review and design transfer meetings
  • Support the Quality Manager in improving and maintaining the QMS
  • Guide and support the personnel in following the procedures
  • Support audit preparation, regulatory compliance and submissions
  • Support supplier management (selection and yearly reviews)
The full-time position is based in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.

Requirements:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in (bio)medical sciences or a technical field
  • Preferable 2 years of relevant experience in Medical Device Development
  • Preferable familiarity with ISO 13485, MDR and GDPR
  • Demonstrable affinity with medical technology
  • Process-oriented pragmatic, affinity to introduce structure while being flexible in means to achieve it
  • Proactive and analytical, able to identify gaps, problems, and inefficiencies and timely act on them
  • Good interpersonal skills, willing to work and contribute within the team, as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Dutch is preferable
