Do you want to contribute to improving the Netherlands as a Technical Application Manager? That is possible at TNO. We are looking for an Application Manager who is responsible for our application platforms. Think of SQL Server, Power Platform, Outsystems, MS Dynamics CRM, Planon and Gitlab. In this role you ensure that our scientists can access the necessary information and that the information is secure, so that they can use their expertise to make the Netherlands a little better.

What will be your role?

So as a Technical Application Manager, you will be responsible for the technical management of a wide range of applications. That fascinates you too. Every application is different and for you it is a challenge to master new applications.

You are busy with troubleshooting. So when there are problems and user questions that have a technical cause, you are consulted. You analyze, come up with a quick fix where necessary and provide a structural solution. You then communicate this to your stakeholders, such as the service desk, other application managers or the supplier.

Lifecycle management is also part of your job. Because there is always something that needs to be updated. 
And finally, you work in projects. Many projects within Information Services touch your applications. The work that results from these projects also ends up with you and your colleagues. 

TNO is very flexible. We find a good work-life balance very important. As Technical Application Manager you are based in The Hague. But we work hybrid and in this you have a lot of freedom. You have sixteen experienced colleagues. You also work closely with colleagues from other departments within Information Services and the rest of TNO. Wherever you go, you will find an open, informal working atmosphere and we value your opinion and ideas.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a Technical Application Manager who is primarily fascinated by technology and complexity. Someone who can make technology their own. In addition, you must enjoy working in an innovative environment. For us this is expressed in the following criteria:

HBO working and thinking level;
Experience as an Application Manager;
Experience with SQL and Powershell will help you a lot in this position;
Relevant certifications that show your eagerness to learn;
Good command of the Dutch and English language.

What you'll get in return

The offer consists of a gross monthly salary between € 4.000,- and € 5.000,- (depending on your knowledge and experience). Added to this is a 13th month (8.33%) and a flex budget (5.58%). So monthly your salary could be between € 4,600 and € 5,700. And on top of this there is a holiday payment (8%) and 33 holiday days. In addition, you get every opportunity to develop yourself.

The selection process

The
comprises two interview rounds. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.

The selection process may include an online assessment and a reference check.
A certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required before starting a new job at TNO.
As you will be working for clients in the domain of defence and security, a Certificate of No Objection issued by AIVD (The Dutch General Information and Security Service) is mandatory. This means you will have to undergo a security screening. Read more about
