The research group of Jonas Muhr is studying how stem cells are regulated in the brain and its derived tumours. One important focus of their research is to examine molecular mechanisms preventing stem cells from contributing to tumour growth. The Muhr group is addressing these questions at the protein and genome wide level as well as in orthotopic tumour models in mice.

Your mission

The successful candidate will work together with members of the research group and examine gene regulatory networks controlling the activation of tumour suppressor responses in healthy and malignant brain stem cells. Apart from xenograft transplantations into mice the work will include molecular studies of stem cells

in vitro
