The job in a nutshell

Data is instrumental and a key enabler for us to drive our strategic ambitions and satisfy ever more invasive regulatory requirements. In order to manage data as a strategic asset our data needs to be of high quality, fit-for-purpose and easy to consume.

You will be part of the central Data Management team within Aegon Nederland, where we act as a trusted strategic data management advisor towards our lines of business (Value Streams) and functions (e.g. Mortgages, Non-life). During your internship you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our data management business implementation, while learning more about the ins and outs of key data management processes as well as working for a leading financial services provider.

Key activities:

Support Data Officers and Data Stewards with:
Drafting, capturing and maintaining business understandable definitions for critical data elements in Collibra
Drafting, capturing and maintaining business understandable data quality business rules for critical data elements in Collibra
Building data quality checks (SQL statements) based on data quality business rules enabling active quality monitoring on critical data elements
Analysing and validating data quality exceptions including proper root-cause analysis
Improving the ticket quality of our registered data quality incidents and problems in ServiceNow
Creating consistent and robust key progress management information (processes)
Key execution and monitoring activities such as preparing meeting agendas, recording meeting minutes, track action items and risk logs

This is your future position, because you:

You are curious and eager to discover the world of data management within the context of a leading financial services provider. You have the following items in your ‘backpack’:

Bachelor or Master student in (Business) Information Management, Organisation Studies, Data Engineering/Science, Linguistics
Interested in key domains such as Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management
Interested in working with key data management tooling such as Collibra, ServiceNow
Conceptually strong and a good feel for linguistics
Connecting personality, depth and focused on collaboration
Authentic, teamplayer with a great sense of humor
Start date asap for a minimum of 3 days per week (duration 3 - 6 months)
