ING Corporate Sector Lending Netherlands is looking for a Junior Transaction Manager Analyst.

We have a challenging opportunity available for an ambitious professional to join ING’s Corporate Sector Lending – Industrials team in The Netherlands.

Corporate Sector Lending Netherlands
is at the heart of ING’s Wholesale Banking division in The Netherlands. We serve the largest Dutch multinationals, both investment and non-investment grade, with a range of lending products. Our people are highly motivated and no-nonsense professionals that work across three different teams, covering the i) Industrials, ii) Retail & Services and iii) International clients.

The Industrials team
focuses on clients that are active in a variety of capital-intensive sectors such as construction, automotive, manufacturing, chemicals and heavy industries. We are responsible for the origination and execution of a broad spectrum of credit solutions. Our lending services are tailored to the needs of our clients and our involvement ranges from strategic transformational events to looking after their daily banking needs. As such, we provide bilateral and syndicated financings for acquisitions, capex and working capital purposes, as well as credit facilities in support of daily banking needs (cash management, trade and financial markets). We have an end-to-end responsibility for the entire lending process and are responsible for the credit quality of our lending book.

It is our ambition to be ‘The first bank to call” for our clients. In realizing this ambition, we work closely together with the Coverage teams in Corporate Sector Clients and with Risk Management, Legal, Transaction Services, Loan Syndications and other ING departments. 

You will work for the Industrials Team that consists of 9 experienced lending professionals. You will work closely together with these (Senior) Transaction Managers and be involved in transactions from day one.

Your job:

The role involves: 

• Support the origination, structuring and execution of bilateral and syndicated senior debt transactions;
• Prepare and write credit applications;
• Perform financial analysis and financial modelling as well as company and sector related research;
• Analyse and advise on transaction economics (economic capital, risk weighted assets);
• Monitoring client performance and prepare credit ratings;
• Draft and negotiate loan documentation (both LMA based and ING inhouse documentation);
• Developing a day-to-day working relationship with your colleagues in Corporate Sector Lending but also in Coverage, Risk, Legal and other stakeholders within the varying deal teams;
• Ensure adherence to all applicable lending policies.

Your work environment:

ING’s Hybrid Mode of working (both from your home and from the office) will apply. The position is based in Amsterdam (Acanthus office).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an ambitious professional with a Master’s degree. Although not a requirement, 1-2 years of work experience in the financial sector within lending, coverage, risk or financial advisory is preferred.

The candidate will have excellent analytical skills (preferably including financial modelling skills) with an eye for detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Key attributes are furthermore: strong team player, solution orientated, pro-active with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Dutch.
