Job description

We at Private Label fashion are 10 brands and counting. We develop collections for men’s, women’s and childrens from our office in Hilversum. We are an international team of creatives working collaboratively to develop the right products for our customers. This Private label division is the place from which we create, develop and buy the collections including brands, Anytime, Ruby, CoolCat, Me & My Monkey and of course Miljuschka by Wehkamp. 

This 'start-up' is growing like crazy. We are ambitious. We believe we are at the beginning of something big. To realize our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an equally ambitious Senior Buyer - Ladies Knitwear.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer who believes in the power of Private Label and wants to help drive the collections and shares the entrepreneurial spirit to drive the growth of the Private Label share within Wehkamp. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, developing and buying the most optimal product assortment for the Knitwear category. You know how to source the right products for Wehkamp's existing and new customers, based on the various needs and characteristics of our 2.7 million customers. To create a dynamic and commercially successful assortment, you work closely together with Merchandise Planning, Buying, Styling, Quality and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

We consider this important:

• +7 years of buying ladies knitwear within a private label or own brand retailer
• You have the technical knowledge to work directly with off-shore factories to develop the most commercial knitwear ranges across various private label brands
• You have excellent knowledge of different types of yarn, are familiar with the various stitches and know the difference between intarsia and jacquard;
• You have experience in developing collections from initial concept to launching on-line;
• You work well in a fast paced environment and are excellent at multitasking.
• You are entrepreneurial, team player and customer centric
• You have a completed fashion education;
• You have excellent (trend) knowledge of the European and Dutch market;
• It goes without saying that you have an excellent command of the English language.
• You are available full-time;
