As an Intern, you will collaborate with cross functional teams comprising technical experts within the R&D function, as well as business unit leaders to design, execute, and launch new innovative products together with our customers. You will contribute to the development of new technical solutions based on CO2 technologies in the fields mentioned above. Besides being responsible for doing practical R&D work in the laboratory, you will also perform and/or assist team members in writing reports for clients and partners. Your business potential will also be exercised by coming into contact with the commercial R&D environment. Apart from the practical activities, you will also evaluate the best implementation of the products/processes developed in the sense of creating the business model for such an approach on a potential macro-scale.

Ideal candidate

• A BSc/MSc student (HBO/WO), studying chemical engineering, chemistry, process technology, biotechnology or related discipline
• Perform experiments/data transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain flexibility to respond to ever-changing priorities
• Hands-on, independent, proactive and ‘can-do’ mentality
• Solution and target driven mind set
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English)
• Capable to work in a diverse and multidisciplinary team
• Available for a minimum of 4 months

Tasks

• Desktop study (literature research) and planning of the experimental activities
• Perform experiments as part of the strategic projects team, learning how to operate pressurized equipment and gaining knowledge in supercritical CO2 technologies.
• Develop protocols and perform analytical test for product characterization.
• Assist with writing reports for grants/commercial contracts
• Presenting research results in project meetings

To conduct the activities you will work closely with company’s most experienced project managers and project leaders. You will be integrated in the daily company activities which involved:

• Familiarized with CO2 technologies;
• Acquire and develop formulation knowledge
• Operating high pressure equipment;
• Utilizing the analytical tools (GS, HPLC, UV-Vis, Microscopy, Water activity measurements, etc.
• Product development & characterization including the shelf-lifetime stabilities, and product performances; benchmarking analysis, etc.

The internship will be ended with a report which remains company property and is subject to the secrecy agreement.

De organisatie

FeyeCon houdt zich al 30 jaar bezig met het uitvoeren van verschillende engineeringprojecten, waardoor het bedrijf een leidende positie inneemt op het gebied van projecten met hogedrukapparatuur. Bij FeyeCon werken verschillende teams die zich bezighouden met ontwikkeling, ontwerp en apparatenbouw. Samen voeren we projecten uit voor klanten in verschillende industriële sectoren, bijvoorbeeld textiel, voeding en medische apparatuur.

De functie (Service)monteur is essentieel om projecten van de ontwerpfase naar de bouw en oplevering bij de klant te verplaatsen, een taak die samen met het engineeringteam en andere werkplaatscollega’s wordt uitgevoerd.

Naast het bouwen van apparaten voor externe opdrachtgevers worden er ook pilot-installaties gebouwd en onderhouden voor intern gebruik. De functie omvat naast opbouw en externe ondersteuning aan de opdrachtgever ook het onderhoud van bestaande apparatuur en netheid van de werkplaats en gereedschappen.

 

Wat ga je doen?

• Zelfstandig construeren en inspecteren van apparatuur en installaties
• Installatie, inbedrijfstelling en bediening van apparatuur
• Problemen oplossen, reparaties uitvoeren
• Routineonderhoud uitvoeren t.b.v. functionaliteit en betrouwbaarheid
• Technische ondersteuning en assistentie bieden op afstand of ter plaatse
• Afhandeling klantvragen, diagnosticeren problemen
• Voorbereiding apparatuur voor experimenten in ons lab
• Zorg voor de netheid van de werkplaats en het gereedschap.

 

Wat vragen we?

• MBO of HBO opleiding werktuigbouwkunde, autotechniek of soortgelijke technische discipline
• Liefst 3 jaar werkervaring in een vergelijkbare functie
• Uitmuntende mechanische en elektrotechnische vaardigheden
• Sterk technisch en praktisch inzicht met hands-on /can-do mentaliteit
• Zelfstandig maar ook werkend in teamverband
• Flexibel zowel in bereikbaarheid als in het aanpakken van werkzaamheden.
• Servicegerichte instelling met oog voor het bedrijfsbelang
• Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal is een sterke pré
• De bereidheid om incidenteel te reizen naar buitenland
• In bezit van rijbewijs B
