DevOps Engineer Linux

Do you want to participate in automating the infrastructure of Cegeka and of our customers? Do you like to interact with other teams?
You are responsible for setting up and maintaining Kubernetes container platforms based on Red Hat OpenShift and the Open Source variant OKD
You set up and maintain Red Hat Linux servers, installing the necessary applications
Servers are set up fully automated via Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform
Config management is done through our Puppet based framework
System patching is automatically controlled via Ansible
You design and maintain Jenkins pipelines for Continuous Integration and Puppet code for automated deployments
You integrate automated testing in the Continuous Delivery process
You provide 3rd line support for incidents at end users of the customer so that interruptions in the work of end users are prevented or limited
You take care of permanence and service to end users on a rotating basis (every 7 weeks), guaranteeing the agreed service levels.

Vaardigheden

You have 3 to 5 years experience in a role as System/Linux Administrator
You are passionate about Linux technologies
You are familiar with the DevOps ideology and tooling
You have experience with the concept of containers and technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
You have experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Git, Puppet, Ansible and Terraform
A background as a developer or experience working with developers is a plus
Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies will certainly come in handy
You can work independently but also enjoy working in a team
You have good communication skills
You like to take responsibility and initiative
You speak and write fluently English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
You work in our office at Hasselt or Leuven and from home.
