Marel Poultry

You will be working for Marel Poultry, focusing on designing, producing, and installing machines for the poultry processing industry. They are the undisputed world leader and trendsetter in this field. In addition to the locations in Boxmeer (Netherlands), Dongen (Netherlands), Gardabaer (Iceland), Arhus (Denmark), and Gainesville (USA, Georgia), they have local offices or production facilities in many countries.

Job description

You will be responsible for selling innovative and complex projects. These projects involve setting up poultry processing (completely) for the customers (poultry processors). These extensive projects have high value, long lead times, and complex (sales) processes.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the entire sales process: market research and analysis, developing a sales plan for your region, conducting acquisition and sales meetings, negotiating, and ultimately closing deals
  • Further expanding, managing, and directing a high-quality international agent network and supporting and training the local account manager
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Sales Director of your (to be determined) region
  • Being responsible for achieving your commercial objectives based on your own (sales) strategy
  • Investigating and determining customer needs and translating them into successful opportunities
  • Collaborating closely with sales engineers and engineering to achieve internal support with the aim of offering the best (customer-specific) (total) solution
  • Contributing to the growth strategy and development of the organization and further expanding Marel Poultry's current position
  • Participating in (inter)national trade shows and hosting customers in Boxmeer

Background

  • At least a completed HBO education (preferably in a technical direction)
  • Experience in a similar role in a comparable environment is an advantage (maximum 7 years)
  • Technical skills, knowledge, and expertise (in mechanical engineering)
  • Internationally oriented and interested, willing to travel (50% international - Region still flexible)
  • Analytical, sharp, and driven to get to the heart of the matter
  • Communicatively skilled at various levels, problem-solving, and listening skills
  • Energetic, down-to-earth, pragmatic, results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and independent
  • The desire, ambition, and investment to further develop yourself
  • Besides Dutch, you speak (and write) very good English; any other language is a plus
