Content of the function

As a DevOps Engineer you play a crucial role in the success of our technological initiatives and contribute to our growth and innovation. You are an important link in supporting and improving our cloud IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our services. You follow the principles of DevOps, including automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery and cross-team collaboration. To manage and accelerate infrastructure consistently, apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You also think about scalability and consistency in terms of security at every step of the development process. You will also research and implement new technologies and trends that can improve the efficiency and performance of our development team.

Your responsibilities

• Analyzing the impact of changes in architecture;
• Provide proactive improvement advice on cloud and platform infrastructure;
• Tightening the architecture and information security policy;
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline/automate software development;
• Designing, realizing and managing implementation pipelines and workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment within the architecture and information security policy;
• Designing and deploying the WPS technological infrastructure;
• Monitoring and optimizing the technological infrastructure;
• Maintaining documentation quality and timeliness of solutions;
• Calculate infrastructure costs and advise on the most suitable solutions;
• Internal communication for improvement projects and incident and request handling;

Your qualities

• You have an HBO diploma and at least 2 years of experience as a DevOps engineer;
• Have knowledge of/experience of complex IT environments;
• You are a specialist in the field of GCP Google cloud platform;
• Certificates as a cloud Devops engineer & Security engineer are a plus;
• Have knowledge of/experience Kubernetes engine;
• CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions);
• Linux knowledge is a plus (mainly Ubuntu / Debian;
• Have knowledge of/experience with Scrum/Agile development (pre);
• Have knowledge of/experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC);
• You are willing to work on-call duty.

In terms of personal qualities, we are looking for someone who is analytical, results-oriented and proactive. You have an innovative way of thinking and because you have frequent contact with our colleagues abroad, you are fluent in spoken and written English, in addition to Dutch.
