In production of medical devices a process development engineer designs and executes cost-effective production systems in order to enhance the speed and quality of processing, and ensure produced items comply with government regulations and industry standards. To accomplish this key role you should have extensive knowledge on how to develop and improve production processes and production machinery with a focus on coordinating the transfer to full scale production. From early on, you will be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and reliable. Responsibilities

• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production
• Design of protocols for process validations
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
• Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades
• Perform process simulations
• Perform IQ, OQ and PQ on new equipment
• Conducts risk assessments
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Automate manual processes
• Draft and design layouts of materials and products using 3D modelling
• Investigate and troubleshoot process deviations and production issues
• Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and math skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Punctual, thorough, and well-organized
• Result-oriented, focused on quality and reliability
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
• Proficient with computer and information technology
• Knowledge of process engineering software systems
• You like to apply LEAN and 6-Sigma (training options available)
• Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations
