Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer

Our client is a leading energy company that operates in the oil and gas industry, they are located in the area of The Hague. They are engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas. They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer the role involves being proactive in addressing any issues that arise. However, their day-to-day responsibilities also include work preparation, and participating for upcoming projects and in ongoing ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the resolution of integrity and operational issues related to performance standard failure.
• Contribute to operational risk assessments to enhance safety and reliability.
• Review engineering project documentation and offer guidance to engineering contractors to ensure project success.
• Enhance the availability and reliability of rotating equipment to optimize operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with major rotating equipment suppliers to facilitate procurement and support.
• Act as a troubleshooter for machinery problems, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Specify work scopes for rotating equipment engineering projects within the Projects department, oversee outsourced engineering design, and review vendor documentation.
• Ensure the adherence to quality management standards for new and modified rotating equipment, aligning with design codes and specifications/standards.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and address the underlying reasons for rotating equipment failures, facilitating continuous improvement and reliability enhancement.

Your Qualifications:

• BSc degree in relevant engineering/technical discipline or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer.
• Knowledge and experience with rotating equipment.
• Significant experience within the oil & gas industry (preferred).
• Good Communication in English, Dutch is an advantage.
• Operational experience and Hands-on mentality.
