Financial Controller C&D Foods

The Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the site's financial procedures including
weekly profitability reporting, month-end closing, cost control, forecasts, budget and other projects
as necessary. Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the finance and IT teams including
accounting staff, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
The financial Controller is a member of the Site MT and reports into the general Manager IJmuiden and the Group Financial Controller. The controller also manages the local IT team and a Finance assistant

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the month-end close, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Submit accurately and timely weekly financial reports, including P&L and customer
profitability reports.
Investigate variances on an on-going basis and understand deviations from both budget and
prior year figures.
Ensure adequate controls are in place and maintained to safeguard financial assets.
Constantly check that we are delivering best value for the business and costs are being minimized.
Work with senior management and provide financial analysis for all business proposals.
Review balance sheet accounts monthly to confirm proper reconciliation and supporting backup.
Ensure accurate stock volumes and values at all times.
Coordinate requests and documentation related to external and internal audits.
Involvement in process improvement initiatives and establishing best practices.
Perform other functions as is needed by other departments or senior management.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
Two plus years of industry experience.
Manufacturing experience and prior experience in matrix structure highly desirable.
Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
