We are ParkBee, we develop smart tech to reduce the need for on-street parking. We are on a mission to give space back to the city. With our mobility management solutions we optimise the use of underutilised parking spaces and get cars off the streets. We partner up with third party applications such as Parkmobile, Park-line and RingGo to improve our services even more. The job

Our software and product is being used by thousands of users in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and we are looking to expand even further. To ensure that we provide our users with the absolute best product and service, we need to continuously invest in technology and innovation. Since ParkBee’s product is constantly evolving, you will play a crucial role in our development as our QA Engineer. You will set up best-quality practices, to make sure our platform runs smoothly. Using your experience, you will ensure that our developers continuously deliver high quality work. You support and direct internal and external stakeholders with quality based cases and you handle customer complaints. Advising, supporting, and assuring quality is your job. Some of your tasks:

• Clarifying requirements, estimating and prioritising functional and technical testing activities, identifying and reporting defects. 
• Writing automations for all the important product flows;
• Developing and implementing automated tests and working together with operations to make it a part of our CI/CD process. You will also be validating requests from other teams here;
• Continuously liaising and collaborating with developers within our tech team to ensure quality;
• Help define and rollout improvements to testing and quality processes across both the tech team and wider company;
• Frequently providing the team with test cases;
• Discovering and researching, setting up new test cases from scratch, thinking about our product and formulating a vision.

 

Who you are

You are flexible, curious and have a proactive mindset. You need to be passionate about QA automation, and ready to join a hardworking environment. You are willing to be a part of a team and are open to giving and receiving feedback. You are ambitious about personal development. From focusing on user stories to setting up continuous delivery pipelines, you can do it with your eyes closed. You have excellent communication skills and have an outgoing personality. We’re likely to be a match, if you:

• Have at least 2+ years of working experience as a QA engineer;
• Have experience with automation testing on multiple projects;
• Know how to test APIs and web applications;
• Have a strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes;
• Are fluent with at least one programming language, preferably C#;
• Have a thorough knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies;
• Are fluent in English;
• Have experience with testing distributed systems (a plus).
