As Institutional Client Servicing Specialist you will ensure that AAM delivers our external clients and internal AEGON Insurance clients (excluding General Account) the investment products and solutions they need, they expect and that have been agreed. This role involves extensive direct contact on a daily basis with the account management and sales teams, the external clients and the other departments within AAM that are involved in the offering and delivery of product, solutions and services. This includes not only for the Netherlands but all across the globe.

Within AAM there is extensive contact with Portfolio Management, Proposition Management, Investment Solutions, Client Portfolio Management, Client Reporting, Financial Reporting and Accounting, Data Management and Operations.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Manage the client relationship with the account manager in direct contact with Dutch and international clients, also including client visits
  • Responsible for handling client requests regarding provided investments and services and communicating directly with the client.
  • Responsible for handling clients requests regarding operational questions
  • Responsible for monitoring the departmental e-mail boxes and carry out follow up actions
  • Responsible for collecting and handling of client feedback with regards to provided services or investments
  • Responsible for maintaining the client records based on the CDD and KYC policies of AAM NL.
  • Responsible for implementing mandate changes and other client requests in the month end processes
  • Responsible for providing cash call documents to Dutch Mortgage Fund clients and informing these clients on their investment transactions
  • Responsible for collecting data and providing the Aegon Market Conduct Principles (AMCP) report to Compliance of AAM NL
  • Provide support in RFP/RFI processes
  • Provide support in sales processes both for Dutch and international clients
  • Responsible for carrying out the CDD check and client classification for new and potential clients as per the CDD policy requirements
  • Provide support in completing questionnaires of regulators
  • Responsible for the account management of a specific business line of Aegon Insurance. This needs to be executed in cooperation with the account manager who is responsible for the Investment Office of Aegon Netherlands.
Profile
As Institutional Client Servicing Specialist, you have excellent knowledge of the market place and of the wider investment world, including investment markets. This is a high impact role that is crucial for the maintenance of client satisfaction and client retention. Success in this role will contribute to both the growth and retention of revenue to AAM Europe, which in turn has a significant positive impact on the Aegon Asset Management group business.

Furthermore, you have the following qualifications:
  • A completed master's degree in Finance, Business Investment or Economics
  • 2-5 years of experience within Finance or Investments.
  • Excellent level of numeracy is required.
  • Track record of delivering excellent service to clients (in the financial services industry).
  • High level of technical operational knowledge, acquired either in relation to external clients, investment management firms, or both.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Are data driven and have an agile mindset.
