Business Consultant Process Automation

Within the Process Automation Grid we strive to improve and digitalise the day-to-day experience of our clients and employees throughout all Client Units of ABN AMRO. We take a leading role in defining and implementing the bank strategy for hyper automation, integrating both business and technology perspectives. As Business Consultant you are part of a multi-disciplinary team (Value Proposition Team), responsible from finding the best solutions and supporting Client Units to automate their processes. As a team of consultants, we are skilled in simplifying complex content and in managing diverse stakeholders groups; regardless of whether we’re talking with content experts or senior management, we create clarity and structure that leads to tangible solutions, actions and decisions.

Your job

Your job involves a combination of activities, ranging from the definition and implementation of strategic initiatives within the hyper automation domain, to the intake of new business processes for automation; to ensure that business analysts and developers can pick processes for development. You will work closely with business and process experts across Client Units, in close collaboration with innovation teams and with the Product Owners responsible for the IT implementation.

To succeed in your role you’ll have a good understanding of what drives the client and employee experience and the IT landscape, and you are aware of the latest innovations within banking and digital. Most importantly, you are a connector, you structure and simplify complex content, and you build bridges and like to bring others together; you enjoy working with a diverse group of stakeholders from different backgrounds. Within the Grid and Team you take end-to-end responsibility for the required changes for a HUB (and the respective portfolio of end-to-end process) and/or a specific tooling domain; from ideation to implementation.

Working environment

You will be part of an international team and deal with a multitude of stakeholders from different Client Units, where every day is different. Process Automation is part of the bank wide Theme Process Digitalisation, and is an integral part of the growth strategy of the bank. We play a key role is shaping the digital tools and user experience of our clients and employees; we work close with business experts and process designers to define digital solutions, and we act as a linking pin towards development teams, ensuring expected outcomes are met and constantly assessing potential for further improvement. We experiment with concepts around process digitalisation, such as BPM workflows, rapid application development, robotics and data analytics.

Your profile

You enjoy combining think-work with execution. You understand stakeholder’s needs and can deep dive in content, structure complex topics and translate them into tangible actions. You have affinity with the fields of technology, process and program management. In your development you strive to learn and manage a broad range of topics, and to act as an informal leader. If you have experience in consulting and think your profile fits this list we are looking forward to meet you:

• Higher educational background (WO); and 4 - 6 years of work experience.
• Proven experience in analysing problems and processes, structuring and prioritising complex initiatives, identifying solutions/ options and presenting your advice to stakeholders in a convincing and structured manner.
• You are a critical tinker and you are interested in technology. You understand the high-level picture, but you are able to get in to the details and quickly understand the capabilities of technology and their applicability in specific use cases.
• The right attitude towards collaboration, exploration and getting-things-done. Hand-on mindset and the ability to act as a connector and lead by influence.
• You are comfortable working in English on a daily basis.

A salary indication gross per year based on a 40-hour work week: Eur 65k - up to 85k all-in (incl. holiday allowance / benefit budget). Scale depends on the knowledge, experience and potential you bring (equal pay). A 36-hour work week is also possible. You can also count on a number of very good fringe benefits (including: pension, training budget, hybrid working, public transport pass).
