This role is uniquely positioned in EMEA, on site at a major international technology company. You will be part of a Global Logistics Team, working together to ensure that customer needs are met holistically, with best in class service levels. The Transportation Operations Specialist is responsible for driving carrier and service provider performance through collaboration and coordination of people, carriers and facilities. The ability to understand and communicate customer needs to multiple stakeholders is critical to the success of the organization as a whole. In this role, a dynamic personality, strong analytical and organizational skills, and a positive attitude to build meaningful relationships with cross-functional teams are essential. Our Transportation Operations team actively manages the freight network for technical infrastructure data centers around the world in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of a Transportation Operations Specialist:

• Work with cross-functional teams (order management, compliance, warehousing, manufacturing, service providers and information systems) on planning and performance objectives for transportation operations;
• Drive performance of carriers and service providers for AMS Hub operations;
• Collect and interpret data, identify errors related to transportation activities, and prepare recommendations to save the company time and money;
• Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries;
• Ensure that all activities comply with shipping laws, guidelines and regulations;
• Lead or contribute to high impact initiatives that result in streamlining processes and generating efficiencies by identifying gaps and opportunities;
• Define and improve key operational workflows and SOPs for inbound and outbound shipments in and out of storage hubs and manufacturing facilities in EMEA;
• Prepare reports for weekly reviews with service vendor partners using key performance indicators and present findings and opportunities to management;
• Provide appropriate solutions to internal customers for timely, safe and secure delivery, meeting and exceeding internal customer standards;
• Work with teams to collect, analyze data and present findings to other teams and management;
• Support transportation procurement processes as they relate to inbound and outbound workflows into and out of the customer's hub and facilities in the region;

Required Skills and Experience:

• BA or equivalent preferably in Supply Chain, Business or related;
• 3+ years' experience in Freight Forwarding preferably with direct working knowledge of air freight, parcel freight, ocean freight and road freight operations;
• Working knowledge of import/export/transcon processes, documentation, etc.;
• Excellent project management, communication and problem solving skills;
• Ability to acquire, analyze and display data as needed;
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis;
• Ability to adapt format and style of effective communication in person, via email, documents and presentations;
• Successfully operate in an increasingly complex and evolving business model;
• Must be a team player, demonstrate and foster a culture of respect in the workplace;
