Are you a brilliant, persistent and communicative strong AI engineer who can recognize animals and their behaviors in videos and other sensor data? Are you a pleasant sparring partner for colleagues and you do enjoy presenting results to clients and at conferences? If you can value new AI developments and if you find it important that your work has societal impact, then this position is perfect for you!

Your challenge

Your work (32-40 hours per week) is to build efficient and reliable AI based products and algorithms that recognize behavior from various data streams such as video or wearables. In a team of AI engineers with a shared codebase, you love to try out, develop and deploy new AI techniques, but you are also able to apply conventional methods. Keywords are tracking, identification, activity recognition, active learning & computer vision. Our clientele is diverse so your work can be widely used and easily tuned. You are part of a multi-disciplinary group of Machine Learning researchers, software developers, UX experts and domain experts. Within our collaborative projects, you maintain contact with researchers from international research institutes. You also contribute to integrating the Machine Learning techniques into existing and new products, in an agile/scrum work environment.

Job requirements

• You like to contribute to a better world with your work

• You are persistent with strong analytical skills and great precision
• You have an emphatic capacity that makes you a pleasant conversation partner
• You have a university degree (M.Sc.) in AI, Mathematics, Computer Science, Neuroscience or similar
• You have experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Signal Processing
• Excellent understanding of Machine Learning algorithms & principles
• You have professional programming skills in Python. Other languages such as C++ are a pre
• You have experience with current Machine Learning frameworks (PyTorch, Azure Machine Learning)
