Quick unload, load and go.

Working as a warehouse employee takes care of the loading, unloading and storage of goods. Storage is often short-lived. The loading and unloading process is done manually and with internal means of transport such as the forklift or electric pallet truck (EPT).

What are the activities of a warehouse employee Schiphol?

The goods are brought by the truck driver. The goods are delivered loose, on pallets, on airplane plates or in containers.
You unload the truck with a forklift or EPT
. Before acceptance, check that the numbers are correct and that
the goods are free of damage
. They are then sorted and placed on pallets.
Building up the pallets
is done manually and can be a bit heavier physically. After applying shrink film, the pallets are often stored for a short period with a forklift or EPT at a location in the warehouse. When the goods are picked up again, the goods are given an extra label, depending on the transport. The shipment is loaded into the truck with a forklift or EPT. After checking the documents (transport documents and possibly customs documents), the driver or truck driver is allowed to drive the goods. Often a hand scanner is also used to process goods in the computer system.
