As an Assistant Controller, you will be in charge of the work of collecting, reviewing, processing and analysing financial data. Are you good with numbers and accurate? Then this job as Assistant Controller might be for you! Between all invoices, financial reports and ledgers, you easily keep an overview. Is something wrong? Then you will investigate with enthusiasm. Together with your colleagues, you are the point of contact for both internal and external colleagues on financial issues and you are the financial heart of Improven!

Als Assistent Controller kom je ons team versterken om met name onze financiële processen te stroomlijnen en onze stakeholders te voorzien van waardevolle inzichten. Ook help je met maand- en kwartaalafsluitingen en ondersteun je audits. Daarnaast liggen er genoeg interne optimalisatie- en integratie projecten die jij enthousiast oppakt. Naarmate je groeit in de functie zijn er op termijn doorgroeimogelijkheden richting financieel controller. In de start van deze functie leer je Improven, procedures, systemen en stakeholders kennen en dan word je meegenomen in de werkzaamheden van de controller. Deze mogelijke doorgroei naar senior controller met bijbehorende taken en verantwoordelijkheden zal in een eerste kennismakingsgesprek verder toegelicht kunnen worden.

What do you bring?

  • Experience in and passion about all things finance;
  • At least a completed HBO/WO degree in finance;
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrable relevant finance work experience;
  • Experience in preparing reports;
  • Experience in general ledger (GL) (including movements of suspense accounts, cost accrual, preparation of balance sheet specifications), accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP);
  • Experience in (functional) management underlying systems (Declaration app, P2P, LIFT);
  • You are solution- and service-oriented. You are also assertive enough to retrieve missing information from the manager in charge or from the customer. Being afraid to speak to someone is not in your vocabulary;
  • You are analytically strong and have good communication skills;
  • You are organised and accurate. You check for completeness, timeliness and accuracy;
  • You keep a helicopter view and are stress-resistant.

  • Salary between €3,550 and €4,650 based on full-time employment appropriate to your education and experience;

  • Non-contributory pension which means that at Improven you do not contribute to a (financially) regulated future and you keep more net spending space;
