Profile
As the Assistant Asset Manager, you will work closely with the Asset Manager and be co-responsible for overseeing both the operational and financial aspects of sustainable energy projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the projects in line with the commitment made to the stakeholders.

The Assistant Asset Manager acts as the primary point of contact for the operations team and the maintenance team. Interpersonal skills will be necessary and of added value to guide processes and ensure continuous productivity. Furthermore, a proactive approach and agile mindset to adapt adequately towards changes and challenges is essential. Lastly, this role requires a combination of technical comprehension, financial and contract interpretation expertise, and leadership abilities.

Core responsibilities will include:

Monitoring the daily operations of our (sustainable) energy resources for optimal performance.
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensuring that all financial targets are met.
Support with contract management related to the operation, which includes service - and warranty agreements.
Assist in analyzing performance data for trends and improvement opportunities.
Implement strategies to increase productivity, decrease expenses and optimize profitability.
Ensuring that projects are fully compliant with local regulations and correlate with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Assist in preparing detailed reports on the performance of each asset for the management team and stakeholders.

Requirements

You have completed a minimum of an MBO-4 and/or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field
Knowledgeable in today’s
environmental, health, and safety standards.
Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Knowledge of maintenance strategies is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, innovative personality,
eagerness to learn, problem-solving ability, and proactive attitude.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office package.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch, and Papiamentu (additional languages are a plus)
Willingness to travel.
