Financial Accountant
As a (Medior) Financial Accountant for this recently founded (April 2021) company, you will encounter many interesting challenges. Now that the foundation has been established, it is time to make progress in building the finance function. Projects such as implementing a sound project administration, optimization of the month end close process, acquisition integration and further improvement of reporting lay ahead. Jointly with the Lead and Junior Accountant you will be responsible for all accounting matters in this vibrant and dynamic company.
Main responsibilities:
- Financial administration
- P&L and balance sheet (IFRS)
- Month- and year-end close, prepare financial statements
- Taxes, VAT and corporate income tax
- Asset accounting & capitalization
- Master data (financial administration, project administration, Exact Globe)
- Ad hoc: analyses, checks, CBS reporting etc.
- Assist in and lead several projects
Profile
You are an (GL) Accountant looking for an all-round accounting job in a dynamic, professional scale-up environment. Being accurate, well-organized and great at planning are of key importance when reporting to one of the biggest private equity firms in the world.You have:
- A bachelor degree in accounting
- At least 5 years of all-round accounting experience
- Some knowledge of IFRS
- A clear style of communicating
- Excellent Excel skills

Our client
Open Dutch Fiber (ODF) was founded in April 2021 by investors KKR and DTCP. In the coming 5 years, at least € 700 million will be invested in the construction of 1 million “Fiber-to-the-home” broadband connections. The core business of ODF consists of the physical construction of a fiber optic network. This is done in various sub-projects, all in the Randstad. There is also a first major tenant: T-Mobile has committed itself for 20 years. In addition, another fiber optic network provider has recently been acquired. In brief: a versatile start-up with a very solid business case and sufficient funding.ODF is led by an experienced team that has previously been successful at Reggefiber (NL) and Deutsche Glasfaser (Germany). The CFO has also been involved in these initiatives. The finance team of 7 people is close-knit and plays an important role in the ODF organization.
The ODF office is located in east of Utrecht, at the A12, (near the station and with parking). The lines are short, the culture is informal and professional: work hard, play hard.
