As Category Buyer Vessels & Turnkey Equipment, you will be responsible for the procurement of high-tech engineered equipment for offshore installation and dredging vessels.

You conduct market research, securing up-to-date market knowledge
You develop and manage a network of reliable and stable suppliers
You participate in cross functional teams that work on sourcing projects and continuous improvement
You have a key role in selecting suppliers and preparing the requests for qualification
You provide a clear commercial bid evaluation and a recommendation for purchase
You assist in drafting the contracts and the negotiations
You maintain and monitor the agreements
Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics, or equal by experience
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a procurement role or management of projects & operations in (marine) construction
Interest and affinity for technical subjects (technical drawings and characteristics), willing to learn
Good analytical ability and problem-solving acumen
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Project management skills (legal and commercial understanding)
Fluent in English, Dutch is recommended
You will mainly work from our HQ in Zwijndrecht, Belgium

Thinking out of the box and using innovative ways to improve the business processes are key elements in this job.
