Key accountabilities / responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

• Evaluating all financial information with the end consumer in mind, analysing the performance of products before suggesting changes that will maximise profitability
• Creating the best possible financial controls and structures to streamline cross-departmental company expenditure and facilitate well informed business decisions
• Providing analysis and commercial insight to support stakeholders and contribute to strategy development, turning your insights into tactical actions

Financially appraise new concepts and products, intersecting all investment decisions into future business plans and forecasts and considering impact to profits, returns and cash-flow

The role provides an excellent opportunity to drive commercial decision making by liaising with key members of non-finance teams, challenging their assumptions and helping them to ensure the best rate of return for capital employed is achieved. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a team accountable for the financial reporting and analysis for the business unit, so strong leadership and influencing skills are important.

Qualifications / requirements

Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (RA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong communicative and business partnering skills due to the commercial nature of the role. In addition to this, the successful candidate will require the following key skills;

• Financial Modelling skills
• Strong Analytical skills
• Coaching and staff development skills
• Ability to assimilate information and make decisions quickly
• Ability to challenge constructively
