Every shift at the Front Office of our colourful and dynamic hotel is different and that's exactly what makes it so much fun to join us! What is the common thread in our work? We are ready 24/7 as a team to welcome guests, wave them off or assist them during their stay. Whether at reception, on the phone or in the lobby as the hotel's host, we are all-round and make sure every guest smiles with our Yes I Can! spirit.

As diverse as our work is, our guests certainly are too. Every guest is different and every stay is for a different reason. We like to come out from behind our desk for a conversation to find out what the guest's wishes are. We are confident because of our all-round training and the guidance we receive. We know everything about the hotel and have extensive knowledge of Amsterdam. In short, we possess the tools and skills to make every stay special.

We won't deny that the workload is sometimes high in our department. With 476 hotel rooms and 20 meeting rooms, there is always activity in the hotel and therefore always something to do. However, whether it's a checking in 300 rooms or lugging 300 suitcases (#freeitness) we get the job done together and do it with great pleasure!

Your other duties and responsibilities are: 

• Running the various shifts (morning, and evening shifts) independently with the guest at the centre of attention. 
• Processing payments using (automated) cash register system, handing over the cash register at the end of the shift and accounting for monies received and credit card payments (The entire hotel is cashless). 
• Operating the hotel telephone switchboard. 
• Handling guest complaints. 
• Being the first point of contact with the guest in the lobby. 
• Assisting guests at the kiosks.

To fill this vacancy, we are looking for Team Players with: 

• At least half a year of working or internship experience in the Front Office of a hotel. 
• Enthusiasm to be part of an informal and friendly team 
• Strong social and communication skills and a sense of responsibility.
• Creativity in solving challenges as they arise
• Excellent command of the English language both verbally and in writing (Dutch or any other second language would be a plus)

The Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West has converted an old office into a colourful and unique hotel with 476 rooms and 20 meeting rooms, all decorated by designer Karim Rashid. The hotel will be part of the VEN complex, meaning the building will be shared with Holland Casino and flats by LimeHome.
