Programme Officer Network Manager (English & French speaking)
(32 hours, vacancy number 2021-13) In 2017 Dance4Life set up a social franchise system, franchising its empowerment model The Journey4Life. Our franchisees are members of the franchisee network, which is led by our network manager and our Board of Franchisees. The purpose of this network is to enable a space where learning takes place to increase the impact and scale of The Journey4Life; a platform where franchisees take ownership and co-create the direction and innovations within The Journey4life and to ensure Dance4Life receives valuable input on our guidance and role as a franchisor. The franchisee network currently has members in the EECA region, Asia and Africa, but we are looking to expand it, especially in Francophone Africa. We are looking for a Programme Officer (Network Manager) who can support our Board and network and take it to the next level. Someone who has a scale and growth mindset and who can play an active role in expanding the network, specifically in Francophone Africa. We are looking for someone who has a true hands-on approach, entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to jump on opportunities. Job description You work closely together with the entire Dance4life team but directly with the partner managers. Your duties and responsibilities are the following:

• Stimulate a culture of innovation and learning in the franchisee network;
• Ensure the Board of Franchisees takes the lead over its own plans and actively contributes to the

expansion of the Franchisee network;

• Actively seek out possibilities to bring new franchisees on board, especially in Francophone Africa;
• Act as linking pin between the Board of Franchisees and the international office in organizing and

designing (online) International and Regional meetings;

• Act as linking pin between the Board of Franchisees and the international office in desiging projects to

stimulate quality improvements in current programming;

• Facilitate effective functioning of the Board of Franchisees by acting as secretary to the Board of

Franchisees and linking pin to the staff and leadership in the international office;

• Be involved in fundraising proposals.

Job requirements You meet the following requirements:

• You have a relevant Master degree;
• 2-4 years of relevant (working) experience;
• Experience in SRHR – preferably targeting youth;
• Knowledge of Co-Creation and digital facilitation;
• Fluent in English and French;
• Able to travel internationally;
• You have the following competences: critical thinking, relationship building & networking, hands-on

approach, cross-cultural agility and adaptability.
It is an asset if you

• have fundraising experience, in particular with proposal development;
• have work experience in or with Francophone West Africa. Terms of Employment We offer an exciting and challenging position in an international working environment, with highly motivated and qualified colleagues. This appointment is temporary with a maximum duration of 1 year, but can be extended depending on personal performance and funding. Rutgers offers a competitive salary and ample opportunities for further training to develop your personal and professional skills. The salary, depending on knowledge and experience, amounts to a maximum of € 3.465,- gross per month upon commencement of employment with the right to annual increases that may amount to a maximum of € 4.218,- (FWG scale 55). These salary indications are based on full-time employment (36 hour work week). In addition to the primary employment conditions, Rutgers also offers a competitive package of secondary employment conditions.
