Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance
offers three Bachelor programmes, four Master programmes of Management and Economics and six Masters of Laws (LL.M.), as well as several continuing education courses. It also includes the Doctoral School in Law and the Doctoral School in Economics and Finance. Around

Your Role
In the context of the
(DILLAN)
Professor
Mark Cole
is opening one funded PhD position. The doctoral candidate is expected to develop and research topics related to the regulation of machine learning technologies and specifically possibilities and limitations of an EU framework in this context.

  • The doctoral candidate will conduct research under the guidance of Prof. Cole with the aim of studying towards a PhD in Law
  • The doctoral candidate will publish research results and present them at conferences, workshops, etc
  • S/he shall contribute to the teaching of classes ranging from one to three hours per week, of small group teachings and tutorials
Your Profile
  • Master’s degree in Law. The PhD student should have a strong background in criminal law and procedure, as well as a strong interest in philosophy of law, tech law, regulatory and criminal policy
  • Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: Fluency in English and a good knowledge of French, an additional language is an asset
  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary research
  • Excellent communication and team working skills are required
