What will be your role?

You provide high-level advice on making the design of production processes at companies in the electronics manufacturing industry more sustainable (e.g. batteries, solar panels). You know the challenges customers face and how you can help and advise them to take the next step towards a more circular form of production. You attract customers in the circular manufacturing industry (electronics, plastics and other materials) who can use knowledge and advice to make this step. And you know how to retain the existing customer base with your knowledge and advice. In addition, you are able to brainstorm with other experts about the future questions that need to be answered with regard to the circular manufacturing industry in order to be able to take the energy and circular transition forward. You convert these into project proposals with knowledge questions and research proposals that reflect the core of the matter and that are seen internally and externally as the questions that need to be answered.

How do you want to contribute to tomorrow's world? How big can your impact be? Come and work at TNO and envision it.

What we expect from you

You have at least ten years of experience in providing high-level advice on production processes in the circular manufacturing industry, preferably in electronics, with an education in process technology, chemistry or similar at university level, and you know what information will help the sector make the transition to a (more) circular sector/industry. You understand the client and their questions, and know how to convince them to use our expertise, skills and experience. You have a network in this field and know how to develop and maintain it. Together with other experts, you know how to arrive at the knowledge questions that matter and how to translate these into proposals in which this knowledge development is elaborated. In short: You are able to further develop and expand this field of knowledge, in terms of expertise, network, customers and visibility.

You are also used to write accessible reports (or other information formats) about this complex subject matter. You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Published articles in your name are an advantage.

At TNO, we innovate for a healthier, safer and more sustainable life. And for a strong economy. Since 1932 we have been developing knowledge and technologies in the general interest. We find common ground in wonderment and resourcefulness, and are driven to push boundaries. There is ample room and support for your talent and ambition. You will be working with people who are a match for you, who inspire you, and who want to learn from you. Our state-of-the-art facilities are there to turn your vision into reality. What you do at TNO matters: impact makes a difference. Because with each innovation, you contribute to the life of the future.

What you’ll get in return

The work is challenging and varied. And with lots of opportunities, because at TNO, you are to a large extent in charge of your career. Besides a gross monthly salary between € 5.300,- en € 6.500,- (depending on your knowledge and experience), holiday allowance and a thirteenth month, you will have ample possibilities to develop yourself. At TNO, you can also put together your own ‘menu’ of terms of employment that suits your individual situation.

Whatever you expect.

  • An extremely professional, innovative work environment, with high-calibre experts as colleagues;
